U.S. Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs

A day at the U.S. Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs which is the flagship training center for the U.S. Olympic Committee and the Olympic Training Center programs.

Vi var dit en sväng i onsdags innan vi lämnade tillbaka bilen. Det var inte något vidare väder så man ville inte vara ute i onödan så passade perfekt med museum. Det var gratis och jätte intressant! Först en kort 15 mins film från de senaste 2 OSen ( 2010 Vancover och London 2012) sedan en guidad tur runt hela området. Vi hade en olympisk bob åkare som guide som bor på området. Har tagit lite info från deras hemsida som förklaring till korten därför på engelska. ( Uppdaterar alltid mitt album med engelska förklaringar då jag lägger upp dem så på facebook och orkar inte göra dubbelt jobb...) The Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center rests on a 35-acre complex. The center has sport venues and support facilities for fencing, gymnastics, judo, shooting, swimming, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling. Athletes are selected to train at the CSOTC by their respective National Governing Body. The USOC is able to provide housing, dining, recreational facilities and other services for up to 557 coaches and athletes at one time on the complex.
The USOC has established three Olympic Training Centers along with 14 Olympic Training Sites located in 13 states throughout the U.S.
