"Alea iacta est"

Först var det besök på japanska ambassaden. Det gick jätte snabbt och enkelt, endast 10 min gångavstånd från hotellet och de tog emot vår ansökan utan problem. Nu är det bara att vänta på att få pass med visum tillbaka. Det är klart på fredag ev. onsdag (vi ska ringa och kolla). Dock tror jag vi ändå flyger på lördag kväll som planerat då vi ändå missar reharsals i Japan och vi har en rätt bra flygning nu som kan vara svårt att få om vi bokar om en dag tidigare. Avvaktar och ser men som sagt ser ut som vi har några dagar till här i BA. Vilket inte är helt fel då det finns massor att se och göra! Vi tar en dag i taget och förutom sightseeing av staden passar vi på att njuta av vårt stora rum vi har här med en Nespresso kaffemaskin (I Japan väntar mini rum och då menar jag minirum och inga kaffemaskiner på rummen...) Vi kunde uppgradera till en svit för en liten extra kostnad så passar på att unna oss det då detta blir som en minisemester innan en helt ny tour startar, en lååång en (Juli 2015-Augusti 2016). Laddar batterierna på bästa möjliga sätt.

Tog oss en promenad i BA efter en mysig fika på rummet (efter ambassaden och en skön tupplur) och såg kanske det mest kända nämligen La Casa Rosada. Vi tittade även in på ett jätte gammalt känt fik men nöjde oss med en titt då vi var mer hungrig i stället. Åt på en irländs pub vi hittade vilket var super gott, skönt med lite variation i från den sydamerikanska maten. Nedan följer lite bilder i från dag 1 och fakta för er som är intresserad.

La Casa Rosada (English: The Pink House) is the executive mansion and office of the President of Argentina. The palatial mansion is known officially as Casa de Gobierno, ("House of Government" or "Government House"). Normally, the President lives at the Quinta de Olivos, the official residence of the President of Argentina, which is located in Olivos, Buenos Aires Province. The characteristic color of the Casa Rosada is baby pink, and is considered one of the most emblematic buildings in Buenos Aires. The building also houses a museum, which contains objects relating to former presidents of Argentina. It has been declared a National Historic Monument of Argentina.

The Café Tortoni is a coffeehouse located at 825 Avenida de Mayo in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Inaugurated in 1858 by a French immigrant whose surname was Touan, it was named Tortoni after the Parisian café of the same name located on Boulevard des Italiens (where the elite of the Parissiense culture gathered in the 19th century). The café itself was Inspired by Fin de siècle coffee houses. Café Tortoni was selected by UCityGuides as one of the ten most beautiful cafes in the world.

The Obelisco de Buenos Aires is a national historic monument and icon of Buenos Aires. Located in the Plaza de la República, in the intersection of avenues Corrientes and 9 de Julio, it was built to commemorate the fourth centenary of the first foundation of the city.

In order to enrich the surroundings of the iconic monument, the government of the city started the project Punto Obelisco, creating a zone full of LED signs. Since the Obelisk of the city is always associated with the night and entertainment of Buenos Aires, this project creates a zone similar to Times Square in New York and Piccadilly Circus in London.
