Är det nyare mordernare distriktet i Shanghai på andra sidan floden Huangpu. Där står massor av morderna skyskrapor av olika det slag. Vi tog oss en tripp dit i går och gjorde ett besök i Shanghai World Financial Center, Här följer lite bilder + fakta jag hämtat från internet.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower. This 468 meters (1,536 feet) high tower is the world's sixth and China's second tallest TV and radio tower. However, even more alluring than its height is the unique architectural design that makes the Oriental Pearl TV Tower one of the most attractive places anywhere. Its base is supported by three seven-meter wide slanting stanchions. Surrounding the eleven steel spheres that are 'strung' vertically through the center of the tower are three nine-meter wide columns. There are three large spheres including the top sphere, known as the space module. Then there are five smaller spheres and three decorative spheres on the tower base. The entire structure rests on rich green grassland and gives the appearance of pearls shining on a jade plate.
World Financial Center, 492 m Jinmao Tower, 421 m and Shanghai Tower. The Shanghai Tower, under construction is expected to be 632 m (2,073 ft). Completion is expected in 2014.
Pudong is a district of Shanghai, China, located along the east side of the Huangpu River, across from the historic city center of Shanghai in Puxi. It is administered as the Pudong New Area, a state-level new area. Pudong is home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone and the Shanghai Stock Exchange and many of Shanghai's best known buildings, such as the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Jin Mao Building, the Shanghai World Financial Center. It is also the site of the future Shanghai Tower. These modern skyscrapers face directly across from Puxi's historic Bund, a remnant of a former concession in China.
Between 2008-2011, Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai had the title of the highest Observation Deck in the world, 474 m. Today is Canton Tower, Guangzhou, 488m.

Sky arena on F94 provides a perfect and extensive view of Shanghai along the Huangpu River. The 750-square-meter (about 897-square-yard) sightseeing hall is also suitable for exhibitions. Parapets in the window on F97 provide a place to take pictures. The open skylighted ceiling shows ingenuity in design. In good weather, it can be opened, turning the hall into an overpass in the air. The Sky Walk on F100 is a 55-meter (180-foot) corridor. While wandering on the floor made of transparent glass, you can see the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower just in front and feel as if you are walking in the air above the roof of the Jinmao Building. Vehicles, pedestrians and even the whole city seem to be far away, down below.
Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) was completed in August 28, 2008, being the second tallest skyscraper in mainland China. Having 101 floors with a height of 492 meters (about 1,614 feet), it ranked the top in the heights of roof and usable floor by the time when it was built. Today Shanghai World Financial Center is the 5th tallest building and 10 th Freestanding structures in the world. The construction started in 1997 and continued after a six-year shutdown caused by the Asian financial crisis. With the intention to be the tallest building in the whole world, seven more floors were added after revisions to the previous design. Basement two to F3 is maintained for shopping malls. Meeting facilities and offices are distributed on F3-5 and F7-77. The Park Hyatt Hotel is located on F79-93 and F94-100 is used for sightseeing. The sightseeing hall was opened to public on August 30. It ranked the tallest sightseeing hall in the world by the time it was built.
